As BlackCurve continues to progress, it has looked to expand its team in order to contribute towards its mission of helping companies optimise their prices and grow profits. And so, Blackcurve has opened its office doors to its very first intern.

Blackcurve's Marketing Intern, Chandan Dhiman will be uploading a weekly log detailing the projects she completes over the course of two months.

Week Three:

"This week has been an especially busy one for myself, as I have been able to get stuck into a variety of small projects that will come to serve different marketing efforts once they are launched.

The week started off with exploring the different social media channels Blackcurve uses to promote its content and resources. I learned the need to understand each social media platform, and use this knowledge to determine the appropriate format of content which should be published across our pages.

The ability to identify ways in which to repurpose content was especially important – it allows us to maximise the reach of our resources, and also introduce content to potential customers in different ways. I spent the day working at ways to repurpose existing video content for our Instagram page. This included making the content compatible with Instagram – trimming clips to appropriate length, creating thumbnail images, and strategically using hashtags to broaden the content’s reach.

I was also able to brainstorm with Blackcurve’s Marketing Executive and assign myself other projects to work on during the week. It has been really great having the freedom to choose my own tasks, and also being left to explore it myself. Although the team has been helpful whenever I do ask questions, I really enjoy tackling problems and identifying solutions independently.

I have also used online software to automate some proccesses in order to help fine-tune the sign-up process for customers when they visit our website, and hope that this will make the experience easier and more seamless for visitors.

I was also pushed to think about other ways our Chatbot can provide value to customers. It was decided to create an exclusive ‘Tip Sheet’ made available to customers through Facebook Messenger so that we are able to truly enrich their visit to our page.

I have also started reading ‘Growth Hacker Marketing,’ by Ryan Holiday and definitely recommend it to anyone interested in the evolution of marketing in our information and data society. It has definitely made my tube journeys more enjoyable!"
